Zones that keep your files where they are
Icons are grouped into zones, but the files stay on your desktop and are never moved. If PortalDesk closes or crashes, every icon comes back.
Live folders
A live folder shows any folder right on the desktop — Downloads, Screenshots, a project. Image thumbnails load as you scroll.
Group touching zones
Zones that touch become one shape: one shared border, rounded outer corners, inner corners rounded inwards.
Style every zone, or save it as a template
Icon size, labels (lines, size, shadow), colors with opacity, corner radius, header and spacing. Changes show live; Cancel puts them back.
Draw a zone where you want it
Right-drag on the empty desktop and choose New zone, Live folder or Clock. It snaps to the grid.
