Privacy Policy

This policy covers the PortalDesk app for Windows and this website (portaldesk.workshopai.lt). PortalDesk is made by Augustinas Keturakis (“we”).

The PortalDesk app

  • PortalDesk runs on your PC. Its settings, zone layouts and log files are stored on your computer and are not sent to us.
  • There is no PortalDesk account, and the app does not collect analytics or usage data.
  • PortalDesk does not move, upload or read the contents of your files. It shows the icons and file names of items on your desktop and in the folders you choose.
  • The Steam version is installed and updated by Steam. Steam collects data under Valve's privacy policy; we do not receive it.

This website

The website is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, forms or comments.

  • Server logs. Like any web server, ours records the IP address, browser type and requested page of each visit. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are deleted after about 14 days.
  • Visit statistics. We count visits with Umami, which we run ourselves on our own server in the EU (Helsinki, Finland). For each page view it records the page, the referring site, your country, region and city (worked out from your IP address), browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language. Your IP address is not stored in the database, and the statistics server keeps no access logs. The IP is used only while the request is handled, to work out your location and an anonymous visit identifier (a one-way hash of the IP address and browser details). Nothing is written to your device: no cookies; the script only reads a local-storage key, umami.disabled. The data is not linked to a person, not tracked across other sites, and not shared with anyone.
  • Do Not Track. If your browser sends Do Not Track, the statistics script does nothing. Because nothing is stored on your device, this site has no cookie banner.
  • Fonts and images are served from this site; they are not loaded from third parties.
  • Links to Steam and other sites lead to services with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, you can ask us what data we hold about you, and to correct or delete it, and you can complain to your data protection authority. The only data we could link to you is what appears in server logs; write to us and we will help.
